Doctor & Staff Biographies
Jessica, Veterinary Assistant Jessica is a lifelong Washington resident who was born on Whidbey Island and moved to Bellingham in 2003. She graduated from Western Washington University in 2005 with a BA in History, specializing in the study of the Second World War. She also received her Veterinary Assistant Certification in 2005 and decided to spend her life caring for animals. Before coming to Animal Eye Care, Jessica worked for the Humane Society of Skagit Valley, where she coordinated with rescuers across the state and Canada to reach her ultimate goal: a home for every animal. Animal Eye Care has given Jessica the opportunity to help pets and their owners with ophthalmic issues and to handle them with care and compassion every step of the way. Jessica shares her home with a menagerie of animals: eight cats, three rabbits, and two mice, all adopted from shelters around the state. One of her rabbits, Joe Black, is a patient at Animal Eye Care, where he receives the best care available for his cataracts. When not working, Jessica enjoys spending time with her pets and fiancée Adam, reading a good book, traveling, watching a movie, and expanding her knowledge of the past, present, and future.
