Doctor & Staff Biographies
Dr. Terri McCalla, D.V.M., M.S., D.A.C.V.O.
Dr. Terri McCalla received her B.S. in Animal Health Science with distinction from the University of Arizona in 1980, and her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree with distinction from both Oregon State University and Washington State University (joint WOI program) in 1984. She completed a 3-year residency in Comparative Ophthalmology at the University of Missouri in 1989, and received her Master of Science degree in Veterinary Pathology in 1990. Dr. McCalla was a member of the American College of Veterinary Ophthalmologists Examination Committee for five years, and has lectured extensively and published several scientific articles in veterinary ophthalmology. Dr. McCalla practiced for many years in Seattle, WA before opening Animal Eye Care in Bellingham, Washington. She lives in Bellingham with her husband Tom who is an aquatic/pediatric physical therapist, their two children, their cats, and a chocolate Labrador Retriever. Dr. McCalla's clinical and research interests include uveitis, orbital disease, pharmacology, cataract surgery, and holistic therapy for retinal disease and uveitis. She enjoys the Pacific Northwest outdoors with her family.
